Brain Child Fund, keeping special needs families under it’s wings

Being a special needs parent often means that you travel alone on a journey that very few is able to fully unnderstand. Being a special needs parent often means that your road of life is dark, full of cracks, and unbearable to walk on.

Yet you have to face the cracked road, the mountains in front of you, for your children are dependant on YOU crossing these difficult roads FOR them.

Many parents is obliged to face this difficult journey alone, having no choice but to do so, having no hope, no help.

Luckily most roads comes with road assistance. South-African special families are blessed and privileged to have a helping hand available on this difficult journey no one can plan for.

Our Father saw many families struggle, He saw the need for help, He knew these families dire need of care and nurture. The Brain Child Fund came to help, being an instrument in our Father’s hand to provide struggling families with much needed help.

A journey once alone and unbearable has the potential to change into a journey of help, hope and support. Where one traveled alone, there is other on the same journey. Birds of a feather, experiencing the same journey, feeling the same cracks of the road, experiencing the same darkness as you. Yet the darkness not the harsh and painful as it was before.

The cracks are still there, the darkness sometimes has a way to creep in. But the help is always there. The Brain Child Fund is not always able to be physically present, but they bless families with pieces of them left behind on the roads of special needs families. For they feed those in need with wisdom, they fill the needy with spiritual bread, they help close the gaps a difficult journey like this causes. They bring hope and help, they unite flocks of people, they make a dark journey, one of light and hope.

The Brain Child Fund travels far and wide, they fly high and low, in their quest to provide nurture for those in need. Their work sometimes difficult when the winds of life enter their wings, the need of their help growing each day. As the need for help grows, the grace of our Father grows, and the helping hands of the Brain Child Fund reaches the hopeless and the weary.

And when the season comes for the Brain Child Fund to fly back to their nest, across the waters, back to the USA, they are sure to leave a piece of their wisdom and help behind. For even if they are roaming the big American roads, they are always with the South – African families. Serving as a lifeline for those who is facing the rockiest special needs road, or the most unstable storms….
